SIDE EFFECTS OF ABUSING THE DOSE OF XANAX

Xanax is the potent, short- acting benzodiazepine anxiolytic. It is a minor traqulizer which is mainly used for the treatment of brain disorders such as panic attacks, depression, anxiety, i.e. generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) or social anxiety disorder.

Xanax is used by males and females for vast numbers of disorders,anti anxiety.It also treats seizures and phobias. It also helps in pre- menstrual symptoms in females. It is fact that millions of people use in the world for different purpose and choose short- term treatment instead of regular some other drugs. It is used to treat from chronic to temporary pain. It acts within 60 minutes of intake. The half life of this drug is 11 hours. The dose should be low for muscle pain. dosage is 0.25mg to 0.5mg to be taken twice or thrice in a day. It can be increased up to 4mg in course of time.

This type of drugs are addictive. There are many side effects if the drugs are abused . Person get depended on this. The long term use can have adverse side effects. The common side effects are drowsiness, nausea, dizziness, panic disorder,irritability, mood swing. Lack of co ordination and which may result in fall and injuries. Libido decreased and erection problems may increase. It also increases heart rate which results in high blood pressure and can be fatal and have adverse effects on the heart. It slower downs the breathing effecting on lungs. Person having liver or kidney disorders should not take these medicines. People must strictly follow the prescription and visit doctor regularly. Medicines should not be overused or abused.

The other problem faced are difficulty in urination, weight changes, constipation, skin rashes, memory problems,anxiety unusual changes in mood, etc. overdose can occur when someone takes more than their prescribed dose, takes the prescribed dose on a more rapid schedule, or when someone has recently started or restarted the use of substance. It may also cause blurred vision, slurred speech, respiratory depression, coma. Overdose on xanax becomes increasingly likely if used in conjunction with other depressant substance, including alcohol. It should be used in proper dosage not more than 5mg at a time or according to the prescription. Medications of any mental disorders should not be taken on own self. One must consult doctor for dosage, time period and then only accordingly must take the drugs.
